NEWS and ANNOUNCEMENTS
March Rattlesnake Month: 50% OFF Rattlesnake Vaccines
Rattlesnake season is right around the corner- keep your pets healthy with our tips:
1. Always keep your pet on a leash for walks.
2. If you hear a rattle, try to locate the sound, although do not get closer to it.
3. Stay on clearly marked trails and paths. Snakes tend to hide in brush and vegetation, and can be extremely difficult to see.
4. If your dog gets bitten, take him/her to the closest veterinary facility as soon as possible.
5. If the bite was on the head or neck, remove the collar.
6. Talk to your veterinarian about the rattlesnake vaccine. This vaccine will help stimulate your dog's immunity, and can also lessen the severity of the disease if your do gets bitten.

FELINE VACCINE RECOMMENDATIONS
General Practice Preventative Medicine
Vaccinations have saved the lives of millions of cats. Before the days of effective vaccines, cats routinely died from panleukopenia ("feline distemper") and complications of upper respiratory (herpesvirus, calicivirus) infections. Newer vaccines are available to protect against feline leukemia virus infection, feline infectious peritonitis virus and other infections (chlamydia, feline bordetella, ringworm).
